We believe artwork used in a corporate environment often projects an image relevant to how that company is perceived. In the case of using quality-investment art, it should be considered as a corporate asset. If the maintenance of the artwork is not given the proper attention, the visual appreciation of the image can be sacrificed, as well as damage to the piece can result. It is among these few reasons that we believe the artwork should be maintained in the best possible condition.
A maintenance program can be set-up on a quarterly, biannual or annual basis. This includes the following services:
  • Inspection of the artwork
  • Pieces framed with glass or plexiglas will be cleaned and polished
  • Paintings will be dusted and the frames cleaned
  • Tapestries and fiber art exposed to the elements should be vacuumed
  • Sculpture will be dusted and cleaned
  • Any artwork that is in need of repair will be assessed and will be given the proper attention that is required
  • Artwork that has bee owned by the company for over a length of time should be periodically inspected. Atmospheric conditions often affect the materials used in the finished product. We recomment the following:
  • Artwork framed behind glass should be disassembled, examined, and the glass and frame should be cleaned on all sides. New acid-free materials should be used to replace the old ones.
  • Paintings should be re-stretched and chemically cleaned if necessary.
  • Tapestries and Fiber should be chemically cleaned.
  • Sculpture should have the surfaces inspected and treated accordling, if needed.
